New Jersey Festival Orchestra presents Puccini's Gianni Schicchi at DeBaun Auditorium on the campus of Stevens Institute of Technology.
Succession meets The Sopranos in this tongue-in-cheek production of Puccini’s first and only comedy. A cast of internationally acclaimed guest performers joins NJFO to present a fast-flow comic romp of deception, greed and double-crossing that highlights Puccini’s mastery of emotional storytelling. And it boasts some of the composer’s most memorable work including “O mio babbino caro,” one of the most popular arias in opera – ever. Opera lovers (and even opera haters) are in for a treat!
